Here at SH Notaries, we can deal with the obtaining of an apostille stamp on your document in an efficient way and at competitive cost to you.
We assist both commercial and individual clients with these requirements and take all documents by hand to the FCO in Milton Keynes or the FCO premium office in Westminster for the ‘same day’ apostille service.
What is an Apostille?
The apostille stamp can only be obtained from the U.K Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
We offer the apostille on the same ‘express’ day or the 2-3 day ‘standard’ service and that entails our authorised staff attending the FCO in person. We never use the post.
Please call or email us for a competitive no obligation quote.
Briefly, the ‘apostille’ is a UK Government stamp/attached piece of paper attached to the back of a signed document, bearing its familiar lion and unicorn coat of arms. The document could have been signed by a notary or, say, a Registrar of marriages and Births and the apostille confirms the status of the individual signing the document. The Hague Convention of 1961 covers this area of work and subscribing countries do not require consular legalisation of their documents once the required apostille is obtained.
Our experienced in-house team legalisation team will take your document by hand to the respective venues.
We never use the post – all documents are taken by hand and in person, offering you the client a secure and fast service at all times.
We are registered users at the Foreign & Commonwealth office and our team attend the main London Embassies on an almost daily basis, lodging and collecting documents when they have been legalized.
You can rely on us to advise you of the Embassy and other requirements and fees as well as the timescale for the return of documents.
